EcoSmart Fire and Chama Design transformed a 35m² space into a flagship Melbourne store, creating a striking environment that highlights EcoSmart Fire products and Heatscope Heaters, setting a new standard for retail excellence.

Project Overview

In a bustling Melbourne street, Chama Design’s new store features a meticulously planned layout and design, perfectly tailored to optimise the 35m² space. The transformation highlights several key elements:

Storefront Potential

The large front windows were utilised to create eye-catching displays, drawing in passersby and showcasing Chama Design’s commitment to stylish, eco-friendly solutions.

⁠⁠Interior Layout

The most important part of the new layout was to create an inviting retail space that feels like home by selecting colours, lighting and furniture to add layers of comfort. Each element in this store was planned carefully to allow plenty of walking space.

⁠Fireplace Display

Three Flex fireplace styles with non-combustible materials were featured, providing customers with inspiring design options and demonstrating the versatility of EcoSmart flueless fireboxes.

Heatscope Display

Two electric radiant heaters (Pure White and Spot Black) were integrated into the design, offering warmth and demonstrating their functionality in a real-world setting.

Customer Experience Area

An inviting seating area with an entertaining fire table was created to enhance the shopping experience and showcase how EcoSmart Fire products can be used in everyday settings.

Freestanding Displays

A total of nine unique fireplace designs were added to the new freestanding displays using stylish plinths and a custom made shelving unit, offering a comprehensive view of available fireplace options and their aesthetic possibilities.

Concept

EcoSmart Fire collaborated closely with Chama Design during the concept phase to bring their vision to life. Key factors that influenced the final design included the bold, all-black facade that set a sophisticated tone, and the careful consideration of window tint to balance aesthetics and visibility. Inside, feedback focused on optimising the layout for both product display and customer interaction, while material choices were refined for both elegance and practicality. These crucial elements contributed to the store’s final transformation.
